Dan Ayshford

My name is Dan Ayshford

I'm just completing my final year of my BA (Hons) Degree in Radio Production at the University of Gloucestershire. I have loved my three years studying this course as I get a real kick out of both presenting and producing radio content. When i graduate fully I want to go into an area of radio I really love. Local Radio!

I have a real passion for local events as well as the music that is at the heart of most radio stations. I have a particular interest in local music as it has a very distinct feel to it.

In addition to studying Radio, I was a presenter on the Student Radio station. I presented an afternoon show on Tone Radio which looked at the events that were local to the students as well as the news that may be of interest. To bring a new aspect to my show I introduced a feature called Sports Sessions. This involved interviewing sports teams to find out all about their sport and for listeners to gain a better understanding of the facilities within the SU.

I am also involved in sound engineering for stage shows. I volunteer for ELTC when needed by the company and can operate the sound requirements of the show as well as pyrotechnics. I have worked on productions including Acorn Antiques, Oliver and Cinderella.

I am starting to upload my University work to Mixcloud so that I can showcase what I able to do.
