Dan Baird

Salt Lake City, UT

I'm the proud son of an incredible Master Craftsman, a business designer and launch strategist for myself, and a couple of the Fortune 500. I've traveled 40+ countries, wrestled an anaconda, hosted parasites, and taught 25 kindergarteners in China. I'm fascinated by tech, apps, consumer psychology, and simplicity.

Guiding Principles:

Self: Find who you are, embrace it, and live it before you try to achieve what the world defines as success. It requires self and world exploration. You can do both simultaneously, but can't do either without going outside your comfort zone.

Work: Don't. "Find something you truly love to do and retire for the rest of your life." - James Hartley Click Sr

Character: Character is earned: by creating, risking and enduring failures and still getting back up. "Only a man who knows what it is like to be defeated can reach down into the bottom of his soul and come up with the extra ounce of power it takes to win when the match is even." - Muhammad Ali

Life: It's not about maximizing comfort or earning a reward. It's condensing all you have to offer and leaving a mark now. "To laugh often and much; To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; To appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; To leave the world a bit better place; whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, of a redeemed social condition; To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded." - Ralph Waldo Emerson
