It's nice to finally meet you, let me tell you a few more things about myself..
I was born and raised in a tiny country town about 30 miles west of the city of Binghamton, NY. That town is called Tioga Center. (Don't worry, you've probably never heard of it.)
So, I want to give you a slight idea of just how small this town is.
For my entire school district, which is quite a large area geographically speaking, there were literally only 87 students, including me, in my graduating class. No joke, there are probably more cows than there are people... Okay, admittedly that might have been a joke.
Anyways, I attended Tioga Central from K-12, and during my academic career I was many things, including student-council president for a year; a (terrible) athlete in the sports of Soccer (6 seasons), Track (1 season), Baseball (1 season), and even Bowling (1 season); I was a member of the National Honor Society my Senior year, and a total band-geek for the 8 years between 5th and 12th grade.
Percussion section... Specialty: Mallets.
As a Freshman in high-school, I became a part of The Tiogan, the student-designed, student-produced yearbook. It was then that I became very fascinated with graphic-design and came to the logical conclusion that my passion for a career would likely be in the field of some sort of media and design.
My senior year, as a result of the passion and interest I displayed for graphic-design, the yearbook advisor named me the Editor-in-Chief of the 2009 Tiogan, which was a very exciting and challenging position to hold. It was a very amazing and irreplaceable experience for sure!!!
I still am entirely unsure about what I am going to be when I 'grow up', but I know I would thoroughly enjoy a career with something to do with the media. So, in accordance with this notion, I have been attending Binghamton University since entering as a Freshman in the Fall of 2009. For the first three years of my college education I have been a major of Studio Art with a concentration in graphic-design. Unfortunately, as I have come to learn that the classes required for this major are not quite my cup of tea, I am doing the unthinkable and switching to a Cinema major during my 4th year of college.
2 of my favorite things to do are to make people laugh and to make people think.
