Daniel Dubois

Daniel Dubois is a social entrepreneur who has a passion for community collaboration and changemaking. Daniel is always involved in different social enterprises and community building opportunities.

Daniel was the host of Creating Connections 2013 and spoke at We Day Vancouver in front of 20,000 people with millions watching live on Much Music to inspire youth to continue to make a difference past their high school years.

At age 12, Daniel started the first of his two clothing lines that he successfully grew to have a powerful brand identity and between the two companies he sold over a thousand items across Canada before graduating high school.

Daniel is working on creating a social website targeted towards community item and skill sharing called Share Shed. He is the director of the collaborative project film series and in August 2013 the motion picture brought him to San Francisco.

Other projects that Daniel lead and co-organized include the Concert4Change, and the Me to We university action plan which includes events such as an on campus blood drive and other student volunteer opportunities. As part of this project, Daniel and five others students, in just 30 days alone, raised over $30,000 for the Ronald McDonald House BC.

After graduating from high school Daniel backpacked throughout Australia and Fiji for six months immersing himself in their culture. He has traveled around the world to play competitive sports including basketball in New York and Beijing as well as rugby in England and Wales. Daniel is the 2013/2014 captain of the Capilano University Men’s Basketball team where he inspires his teammates to maximize their potential. Daniel is returned in August 2014 from Vienna, Austria where he was studying business at FHWien. He was on exchange with a full academic scholarship and research grant to conduct research on Austrian sharing economy from The Oead.

In his spare time you can find Daniel mentoring and coaching basketball to the children of False Creek, swimming at Kits Pool, and hiking and snowboarding the local mountains.
