A long time programmer and project manager in the Atlanta area. I'm pretty much sitting on the sidelines of life right now and for any foreseeable portion of the future. I've been totally disabled with a sudden onset of a weird neurological condition that resulted in nerve damage in 2005 and had a relapse where things got worse in 2016.
I'm not in pain from it, but have places that have been numb since then, have no stamina or endurance, loose my balance easily, and my body no longer compensates for gravity or changing positions. I also run very low in blood volume and have circulation issues. It's an odd condition with lots of ramifications. You can read about it at PotsPlace.com.
But I am more than my medical condition. I have authored a book on Amazon, I am a prolific fractal artist, I've done a considerable amount of genealogy research, and, to keep my mind sharp, I love learning new things. My most recent focus of self-education has been in the area of graphics design, 3D CAD design, 3D printing, Lithophanes, and Raspberry Pi projects.
