Daniel J. McCarthy

Daniel J. McCarthy is a Staff Accountant at Michigan's Notification Communication Network (aka MISS DIG System, Inc). in Auburn Hills, Michigan. He oversees the fiscal operations of the organization. . The Center is the primary link between the homeowner, the contractor who has plans for excavating or landscaping and the major untility and cable companies who have underground lines to protect.

I also work seasonally as a Enrolled Agent - one of American Tax Experts and professional at H & R Block who processes taxes for clients in the Washington & Shelby Townships area, Michigan

Previously I spent several years as the Director of Administrative Services at St. Francis Home for Boys, assuring the compliance of State funding for services for youth assigned as residents by the courts. I also have prior services as an overseer of the administration of an educational program and community center on Detroit's Eastside and witnessed very closely the challenges many of our youth in urban communities encounter. I long for the 'forces of light' to overcome the 'forces of evil' in the Detroit Metro area that have really tested my faith in humankind's ability to lift up the poor, the downtrodden and the week and to challenge the political process to provide leadership and integrity in its daily actions.

I graduated from Walsh College with a Master of Science in Professional Accountancy and also a graduate of Eastern Michigan University with a Master in Public Administration. My life's mission is to process my skills and experiences by implementing my goal of enriching each life that I encounter, and so be a dynamic instrument in improving one's quality of life.
