To Whom It May Concern:

I have been working in higher eduaction since 2006, when I first began teaching online during my graduate school experience. Since then, every semester I teach between 6 to 8 classes, and half are online. My desire to learn more is present in every workshop/seminar that I attend regularly, and then I implement it into online learning activities.

I try to implore people to become better public speakers and critically think about theories pertaining to communication, whoever they are and become in life. This mirrors the Bucket Theory, by Tom Rath, who believes everyone has an invisible bucket: "It is constantly emptied or filled, depending on what others say or do to us. When our bucket is full, we feel great. When it's empty, we feel awful." I consistently help keep peoples buckets full, and many past students have filled my own bucket by nominating me at various occasions for "Faculty Recognition," giving me excellent courses evaluations, and taking it upon themselves to write letters on my behalf.

Currently, I am actively looking to become part of a higher education family in a different capacity. I want to increase the people I help, as well as decrease my list of "have nots" and add to the "can dos." Especially if it is utilizing the best asset that I possess...great communication skills.

Lastly, I also am fluent in Spanish, and often tutor students English, and guide him or her accordingly to create an effective speech and style of delivery. Thus far, I have helped over 20 students with this obstacle that they have accredited me as the source of improvement.

I want to always be involved with communications, and I look forward to introducing further innovations in education through technology and the rich history of speech/writing in America, and learning ways to pass it along to furter generations.

On a final note, I believe in helping other people. I am an active member of Homelessness Connect, as well as Wishuponahero.com, where I often seek out people in the community who need help with getting minor wishes granted. It's important to lend a hand, and I often explain this concept in the classroom...As the saying goes, "You may be one person in this world, but you can be the world to one person." (Bill Wilson)
