Danielle Shields

Perth, Scotland

An ambitious seventeen year old girl with a dream to achieve as much as she can in this lifetime. From Perth, Scotland Danielle is on a mission to travel the globe and discover what makes the world tick. Wishing that one day she will become the person who she is meant to be, and until then she is set to continue being a confused, musing mumbling mess.

An aspiring arts and cultural writer, Danielle is in her second year of study at the University of Stirling for a combined honours degree in English and Journalism. She has written for many sites including: Superstar magazine, Starpulse, Spinebreakers, Simon and Schuster Publications and Muso’s Guide. She was runner up for the Young Film Critic of the year 2012 and, unsurprisingly so, has a love for film. In her nature she is a pop culture geek.

Her main propriety right now is to make her new blog, A Cultural World, bigger and better. She hopes to use it as a way to write about the arts, travel and events which take place around the world; highlighting the quirky side of society.

Danielle has been lucky in her travels: spending seven weeks in San Miguel, Mexico in the summer of 2012, South Africa, Barcelona, Paris, London, Turkey, and the more exotic places as Ibiza. In January of 2014 she will be jetting off to San Diego for six months for an exchange program, which is of the height of her ambitions. Her passport is her home and she wants to live in this freestyle nomad way in the future.

Currently learning Spanish, Danielle continues challenging herself to learn new things. Shorthand, tarot card reading and camera skills are at the top of her list!
