I'm a twentysomething who left my life in Minnesota to attend Drake University, a private liberal arts college in the middle of Iowa. I graduated in 2008, I made the decision to stay in Iowa (partially because one of my internships turned into a full-time job) and I haven't looked back since (although I do visit Minnesota as frequently as I can).

I am currently working for The Vernon Company, a promotional product distributor based in Iowa but with account executives throughout the United States (including Guam and Puerto Rico). I knew nothing about promotional products - but I'm learning and loving every second of it! As the Sales Training Coordinator, my main focuses are new technologies, relationship building, social media, branding and identity, website management, training and education.

I'm passionate about life in general (including my family and friends) but at the top of my list of passions are sports (hockey, football and college basketball) and traveling (I've visited 23 states and visiting all 50 is on my bucket list).
