Engineering professional Daniel Sheflin serves as Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of Honeywell Automation and Control Solutions, a division of Honeywell International, Inc. Since joining the company in 2001, Mr Sheflin has led the company by tripling the rate of the introduction of new products to the public and decreasing product development cycles by more than 50 percent. His other responsibilities in this role include the oversight of all Honeywell Automation and Control Solutions research and development efforts, as well as the supervision of a staff of more than 5,000 scientists and engineers.

Daniel Sheflin attended the University at Buffalo, where he studied mechanical engineering and metallurgy, graduating with his Bachelor of Science among the top 10 percent in his class. While an undergraduate student, Mr. Sheflin participated in the activities of the American Society of Mechanical Engineering. Two years after attaining his Bachelor's degree he enrolled in graduate school at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York. Majoring in control engineering, Mr Sheflin also undertook courses in tribology, a branch of mechanical engineering involving the study of friction, lubrication, and wear. Mr Sheflin received his Master of Science in Engineering in 1983.

Daniel Sheflin contributes to a number of faith-based organizations, including the First United Methodist Church of Port Orange, Florida. He also supports the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and has been a sponsor of the FIRST Robotics Competition, a program that gives adolescents the opportunity to learn from professional engineers while competing to win an array of awards recognizing innovation, design, and creativity. Outside of his professional and philanthropic endeavors, Mr Sheflin enjoys biking and other exercise activities.
