Hello! My name is Dannah Hartley, and I am an Associate Director in the Undergraduate Advising Center (UAC). I am lucky enough to be a Jayhawk through and through as both my educational and professional experiences are anchored at the University of Kansas. Earning a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and continuing on to earn a Master’s in Counseling Psychology, I used my academic experiences to learn how to help students identify their interests and discover how they want to change the world.

The UAC holds a special place in my heart as this is where my journey started as a higher education professional. I learned how great it is to work alongside students as they explore all that college has to offer when I became a Peer Advisor. Since then, I have had the opportunity to serve in positions that allowed me to advise across all academic programs, teach orientation courses, develop student leadership teams, and coordinate first-year programs. My current role as part of the UAC's leadership team allows me to foster an inclusive educational environment that supports creativity, innovation, and curiosity. Giving back to the office and colleagues that have provided so much to me through the years is the best part of my job.

If I am not busy with work goodness, I am often found enjoying Lawrence's downtown with my partner. A few of my favorite things are brunching at the many delicious restaurants on Mass Street, solving the problems of the world over a cup of coffee at The Pig, and perusuing the farmer's market. Being an alumna, citizen, and professional in this community brings me quite a bit of happiness.

Cheers, and Rock Chalk!
