Danny Shabat

Chicago resident Danny Shabat owns a number of businesses in the Chicago area. In addition to Shabat Investments, LLC, he also is a part-owner of PharMore Drugs, LLC, Daas Management, and LifeScan Laboratory Inc. Shabat was also part owner of Micro Innovations Corp., located in Edison, New Jersey. DSFA Inc. and SFMA Inc. both have Shabbat as a majority shareholder.

Danny Shabat’s earliest business endeavors were in the nursing home field. Shabat moved to Chicago in 1977, where he first worked for a nursing home; he eventually took the opportunity to buy the nursing home for which he worked. He later bought two more nursing homes. Today, Shabat is the owner of The Waterford Nursing Home and Heritage Nursing Home Inc. Danny Shabat also serves on the boards of several charities.

Prior to moving to Chicago, Danny Shabat was a resident of Brooklyn, New York, where he married his wife, Margie. Shabat worked for two years with the New York Telephone Company and previously he worked with several caterers in Brooklyn. Danny Shabat attended Brooklyn College and Mirrer Yeshiva in Brooklyn.

Danny Shabat grew up in Washington, D.C.; he lived there until he was 14 and attended the Hebrew Academy of Greater Washington, D.C. Shabat loves to see the world and still travels extensively with his wife. Danny Shabat has visited many countries, including Mexico, Israel, England, and Thailand.

Danny Shabat enjoys spending time with his four grandchildren. He is a fan of golf, playing as often as time allows and frequently watches the Golf Channel.
