I run a technology startup called Self which is changing the way we perceive and use data and where I work with a hugely talented team of technologists and visionaries. I'm also an investor in tech and biotech startups through my fund, Aldgate Ventures. Outside work I love to travel and cook, and I'm slowly learning to clear up as I go along and not use every pan in the kitchen. I'm a mad keen cyclist, ideally on a mountain bike, but my talents don't necessarily match my ambition. I'm a lazy Arsenal fan, and a lover of design, architecture and wine. I grew up in inner London, apart from a stint on the island of Guadalcanal. Still based in London with my wife and two brilliant little kids, we have homes here and in Denmark. I've worked on a lot of things not listed on my resume including being a cycle courier, bar manager, night club promoter and management consultant, and the pinnacle; selling fax rolls over the phone.
