Darren is an adventurer whose personal philosophy asks what we can learn when we put ourselves in a place of adventure. Over the last 20+ years Darren has explored some of the worlds most challenging rivers. He specialises in running trips across the Himalaya in Nepal, India, Bhutan, Pakistan and Tibet. He is Owner and Head guide of Pure Land Expeditions, working directly with Nepal, Bhutan and India Governments to promote safe adventure sports and safe working practices.

Darren provides logistic and expedition support for media productions for international units filming in the Himalayas. Noted clients include the Steve Backshall and Nissan.
He runs First Aid courses along with boutique experiences. He is a IRF class 4-5 guide, safety boater and trip leader.
Along with river running, Darren has lead Royal Enfield motorcycle expeditions and treks in India and Nepal.
