Darren Frye

Darren Frye, CEO and president of Water Street Solutions, grew up on an Illinois farm. He has been involved with agriculture throughout his life. Working full-time on his family’s diversified farming operation, Darren Frye developed an intimate knowledge of agricultural production as well as management skills. He worked in his family’s 1,000-acre corn and soybean operation, and managed a 1,800-tree apple orchard and a poultry feed mill.

While working on his family’s farm, Darren Frye furthered his agricultural experience and education with Ag Spectrum. He worked for the company as an independent contractor, specializing in crop consulting and fertilizer distribution, while furthering his knowledge of soil chemistry and plant physiology. Furthermore, he developed skills in equipment set-up, particularly proper planter set-up. In 1994, he leveraged his deep knowledge and understanding of agriculture to establish Water Street Solutions, which offers a range of business and financial services to farmers throughout the Midwest.

In addition to his professional duties, Mr. Frye publishes a new blog post on FarmFutures.com each week. He has also spoken at conferences such as the Farm Futures Business Summit and the Top Producer Seminar.
