Digital Missionary in South Africa

More than the Apostle Paul, I can say that I am the chief of sinners (really really really). But I love God and I love the Bible. So I try to live my life with the constant realisation that God is PERMANENTLY with me (yes even when I sin), and seek His presence in everything that I do (except when I sin) and in everything that happens. I share this with others so that they too can believe it and then seek to live it.

Having pastored a small church in South Africa with an aging congregation, Covid-19 changed the dynamics of ministry. Embracing the "new normal" resulted in the birth of PASSION ALIVE (a digital organisation with physical expressions). And I became a DIGITAL MISSIONARY.

Still ministering the Word of God faithfully, we are building the kingdom through the establishment of a network of home churches and local churches, all physcial expressions of Passion Alive. We create videos and podcast audio content from the sermons preached and post these on several social media channels in order to reach a wider and younger audience.

The birth of Passion Alive also saw the birth of PASSION CARE, our non-profit arm to drive our care initiatives to take care of the needs (untimely, crises, or long-term) of the community that we seek to serve.

We would count it an honour for you to join the Passion Alive family.

I consider David Pawson to be one of the most important Christian teachers of the 20th and 21st century. Whenever he accepted a speaking engagement and was asked how much he charged, he always used to say that they must pay whatever God has placed upon their hearts. This allowed him to speak to a multitude of audiences, whether they could pay him or not.

I want to be a blessing to those that I minister to directly as well as to the wider body of Christ. Through your support, I would be able to continue to pastor the few, grow the kingdom one household, one home church, one local church, at a time, as well as whilst making myself available for speaking engagements as the Lord will allow.

Spiritually, I was raised Methodist, became a Pentacostal, then matured into a charismatic Baptist. I believe in the continuation of the gifts of the Spirit, only that it be exercised Biblically.

Personally, I am and have been the husband of but one wife for the past 24 years to Anna-Marie, and the father of 2 boys, Timothy and Jordan.

As a family, we have chosen to live our lives in accordance with Joshua 24:15 (NIV) "... as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD."
