Daryl E. Baird

Since leaving the corporate world in 1996, Daryl Baird has enjoyed overlapping careers as an artist, a business owner, as a teacher and as an author. Early on, Daryl discovered the clay extruder, a truly versatile studio tool that he uses to make most of the items he sells through galleries and gift shops. In 2000, Daryl's first book, The Extruder Book, was published. Over the years Daryl has written several instructional articles for magazines enjoyed by ceramics enthusiasts. In March, 2012 Daryl's second book, From A Slab Of Clay, was published by The American Ceramic Society and in 2013, the second edition of The Extruder Book will be published.
