Daryl Sorrentini

Following successes in the restaurant and wine tasting industry, restaurateur Daryl Sorrentini recently helped launch the much acclaimed daryl Wine Bar Restaurant in New Brunswick, New Jersey. daryl offers fine dining and wine tasting in a modern yet casual setting, and features the work of Daryl Sorrentini's business partner, Chef Zod Arifai. Chef Arifai is known for his inspired food creations and fresh sourcing of ingredients. This summer's dinner menu includes a dazzling array of appetizers, pastas, and entrees, including such eclectic combinations as seafood ravioli with saffron, tomatoes, and mint, and cod with black bean puree and pineapple.

Prior to founding daryl, Daryl Sorrentini operated a successful wine bar in the same location. Motivation to also offer carefully crafted yet affordable food to her customers inspired Daryl Sorrentini to partner with a professional chef she had long respected. Upon reopening her new business, Ms. Sorrentini was careful to maintain the wine bar as a crucial component of the establishment. The daryl wine bar offers 100 different wines that cost under $50 per bottle, and a collection of 300 higher-priced wines. The wine professionals at daryl utilize the Enomatic wine serving system to reduce waste and bring out the original flavors of each wine.

As owner of daryl, Daryl Sorrentini oversees all the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, including hiring, marketing, and logistics. She also manages long-term business strategies, and maintains a web site featuring menus and reviews. A March 2012 review from the NJ Monthly offered stellar descriptions of entrees and accompanying dishes at daryl, and additional reviews from local media described the menu offerings as "lavish" and "seasoned just right."
