I have run Tripod Advisors -- my own boutique global media strategy, business advisory and China risk consulting company -- since the end of 2012. You are welcome to check the company's website here. Before that, I was Chairman of Thomson Reuters China, a new role designed to raise the profile and business of the global financial services, legal information and media giant throughout China, Taiwan and Hong Kong. I went to that position after a quarter century as a journalist, culminating as Editor-in-Chief of Reuters, the news arm of Thomson Reuters. I now live in Hong Kong (my fourth time living in that city!), but have also lived and worked in London, New York, Beijing and Taipei during my adult life.
