My name is Dava Greely, and words, writing, and communications ARE "my thing"!
From the time I was a young girl growing up in Sacramento, California, I've been passionate about words and literature. I actually used to READ THE DICTIONARY FOR FUN! I would play this game of flipping through the pages with my eyes closed, pointing to a word, and learning it through and through. I had to know the prefix, suffix, root word, language origin, and anything else there was to know! No one instilled this in me. It was just natural.
I grew up in a place where being intelligent, educated, and hopeful were looked down upon. There were even people who made fun of me for how I spoke. Now I'M THE ONE LAUGHING, because the very thing that those people made fun of me for is my "zone of genius" and the means by which I serve people with my gifts, talents, and passions!
As a copywriter, it brings me so much joy to use my passion and understanding of how powerful words can be to help people GET THE WORD OUT about their businesses, initiatives, stories, and professional goals!
