David Nuckolls

Dave Nuckolls is a live show production executive, television producer and director with more than 25 years of experience.
David spent 12 years at Disney producing live entertainment and special events before joining the ranks at CNN for 13 years as Senior Executive Producer and Creative Director where he was responsible for all special programming. He started The CNN Heroes project.
For the past four years, he has been full-time with FiveCurrents, a creative storytelling production firm where he recently completed his third Olympic project. In Sochi, he served as Head of Production and Broadcasting and won a Telly Award and an Emmy Award nomination. His work in Russia on the Olympic Winter Games was seen by 3 Billion people worldwide.
He led the broadcasting effort at the recent European Games in Baku and was the Executive Producer for 3 ceremonies of the Pan American Games in Toronto.
For over 10 years has worked in various capacities on the Oscars and Emmys.
Nuckolls frequently speaks in journalism classes at the University of Nebraska, his alma mater, and has received numerous awards from his home state including being honored by the UNL Chancellor as a “Master” and by the Governor as an Admiral in the Nebraska Navy.
