David Zak Lawyer

Mortgage lawyer David Zak has worked as a defender of homeowners and mortgage brokerages alike for more than ten years. Having developed a thorough body of knowledge in the topics of loan modification and bank litigation, Zak has worked with mortgagors in the states of Massachusetts, New York, and Rhode Island. Under the provisions of the Obama administration’s Home Affordable Modification Program (HAMP), put in place to aid financially struggling homeowners in avoiding foreclosure, Zak has secured more than 450 loan modifications and has initiated hundreds of 93A claims against major banks for HAMP violations. Currently serving as the President of his firm, Zak Law Offices P.C., David Zak continues to represent the interests of mortgagers in Massachusetts and surrounding areas. David Zak graduated with high honors from Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts, before matriculating at Suffolk University Law School in Boston. While pursuing his Juris Doctor degree, Zak received awards as Best Oral Advocate and Best Legal Brief Writer from the university’s administration. Additionally, he was admitted into both state and federal-level courts in Massachusetts. Zak also worked during this time at Rudolph Friedmann LLP. Serving in the firm’s litigation department, Zak worked on business litigation cases related to such topics as partnership disputes and suits pertaining to shareholder derivative actions. In service of this task, Zak performed research, drafted legal memoranda, and had meetings with partners of the firm. Continuing to focus on his skills in real estate, David Zak later moved on to serve as the Director for Business Development at the nationally reputed real estate law firm Kliman Law Offices P.C., where he oversaw the business dynamics of almost 200 mortgage brokerages across the United States.
