Looking for a creative person, talented stitcher, who wants to learn Boat Canvas Fabrication. We will design, pattern, cut, sew, and install canvas and eisinglas on boats.

I have 40 years professional experience in needle trades. I cannot teach creativity and capacity for problem solving but I can teach my trade to a capable sewing machine operator who wants to capitalize on those qualities within themselves.

Studied at Fred Sisto & Associates, the premier Designer's Workroom in Albany, NY from the 1940 to the 90's: Mr. Youngdahl has served as Chairman of the Albany Chapter, National Guild of Master Upholsterers and National Chairman 1984. Contributing editor for "At the Bench" and for the National Association of Professional Upholsterers.

Tuition from Dominic Verdile and Harold Rasmussen: Mr Rasmussen was in his 80's and had been upholstering since he was sixteen. Therefore, the classical training upon which Mr. Youngdahl has built his career stretches back almost 100 years. Harold made some of your antiques when they were new furniture!
