David Drwencke

A student at the University of Detroit Mercy (UMD) School of Law in Michigan, David Drwencke expects to complete his juris doctor in 2015. Since beginning law school, he has received a dean’s scholarship for academic achievement and was chosen as a student representative for the American Bar Association and WestLaw. Additionally, David Drwencke was a finalist in the State Bar of Michigan 1L Oral Advocacy competition and a semi-finalist in the G. Mennan Williams 1L Moot Court Oral Advocacy competition.

Previously, David Drwencke earned a bachelor of arts in public policy from Albion College. He also holds a master of applied economics from UMD, and a master of public administration from Oakland University, where he was elected to Pi Alpha Alpha, the national public administration honors society. He has clerked for the Honorable Judge Rudy J. Nichols at the 6th Judicial Circuit Court in Oakland County, Michigan, since 2008.

In his spare time, David Drwencke enjoys watching sports, keeping current with the latest technology news, and reading about politics.
