After graduating from college I chose to join Teach For America to teach in the inner city. Upon finishing my commitment, I was invited by the school district to work with a team of teachers in the district to co-found the district's first "School of Choice". My work with video and computers in the classroom led me to go on to become a Producer for a variety of multimedia websites. In 2005 I completed a Masters Degree in Instructional Technology and Media from Columbia University, Teachers College, where I was awarded a Technology Fellowship. Immediately following the completion of my M.A. I was hired as the Instructional Designer for BMW Group University Studios where I lead the video production team training the BMW of North America salesforce. I went on to work for the Sundance Channel, where I was hired as Senior Producer of The Green, a sustainable lifestyle oriented video portal and community. Later, as the Senior Producer at Scholastic.com I developed their thriving teacher community and earned a Webby Award. I currently am Executive Producer of BrainPOP.com an award winning educational animation studio where I manage production teams in the UK, Mexico, Israel, and France.
