David Haybron

In the profession for nearly 20 years, Dr. David Haybron enjoys an outstanding career as a cardiovascular and thoracic surgeon. Dr. Haybron spent 10 years at West Penn Allegheny Health Systems in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. From 2000 until late 2001, he served on the Clinical Associate Staff of the Cleveland Clinic Foundation's Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery. Dr. David Haybron started his career as a Shareholder and Managing Partner for Missouri Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeons.

Currently, Dr. David Haybron holds affiliation with several hospitals, including the Western Pennsylvania Hospital, WPH's Forbes Regional Campus, Shadyside-UPMC Hospital, and Alle-Kiske Medical Center. An active member of his professional community, Dr. Haybron participates in a number of organizations, including the Allegheny County Medical Society, American College of Chest Physicians, American College of Surgeons, American Heart Association, International Society for Minimally Invasive Cardiothoracic Surgery, and the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, among others.

Prior to launching his career, Dr. David Haybron received his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Case Western Reserve University. He then completed his Master of Science in Biochemistry at the University of Hawaii's John Burns School of Medicine. Dr. Haybron earned his Doctor of Medicine from the Ohio State University College of Medicine. He performed a surgical internship at the University of California at Los Angeles Department of Surgery, where he remained to complete a residency in General Surgery. In 1993, Dr. Haybron achieved the status of Chief Resident. He completed his training with a residency in Thoracic Surgery at Ohio State University's Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery.
