David Rosen

David Rosen is a Director in the Corporate & Financial Communications practice at Burson-Marsteller, helping clients communicate complex ideas to drive sales, set industry agendas and support full and fair stock valuations. Prior to joining B-M, David served as a Group VP and Chief of B2B Social Media at Makovsky + Company, working with companies such as Booz & Company, Arrow Electronics and the Commercial Spaceflight Federation. During his tenure, David led the firm’s social media task force, including strategy development, product and service creation, staff training, and execution of social media programs for clients. Previously, David was a Vice President at GCI Group, where clients included Citi Smith Barney, Morgenthaler Private Equity, Capgemini and Dell. Earlier in his career, David was a Principal at Walek & Associates, leading the Dow Jones Indexes, Clarium Capital, Rocket Racing League and Amber Alert accounts. He began in PR at Mail.com, a company that pioneered web-based email. A frequent speaker and writer on B2B social media, David recently moderated panels at the Bulldog Media Relations Summit and PRSA-NY and guest lectured at New York University and the City College of New York. His “Guide to Tweetups” was published as a chapter in Bulldog Reporter’s 2010 edition of “The Future of PR.” David authors two blogs: B2BFormula.com, which focuses on social media for B2B, and “Selling Tomorrows,” which is published on the World Future Society’s website (WFS.org) and explores the use of futurism as a marketing technique. He volunteers as a crisis communications spokesman for the Red Cross of NY and is a member of the National Association of Science Writers and the National Space Society. David received his BA from SUNY Buffalo with a double major in Communications and Political Science.
