David Smith joins FirstCapital as head Managing Director and Head of the US office.

David joins FirstCapital from US MAC, the longest established accelerator in Silicon Valley, where he was VP of Corporate Development. In this role David specialised in advising international technology companies,European trade development agencies and portfolio companies of accelerators and incubators on successfully entering and expanding in the US market, developing commercial relationships with multinational companies and accessing investment.He is an experienced board level adviser on raising capital, international growth, market entry strategy and business development, with an extensive global network.

From 2006 to 2012 David was a Senior Vice President for EnterpriseI reland in Silicon Valley, helping to drive the growth and development of Irish companies in the US..
