
Dawna Wright, MPH, PhD, PMP obtained her doctorate in Health Education Research Design/Evaluation from the University of Texas at Austin, her master's degree from the University of Pittsburgh, Graduate School of Public Health, and her baccalaureate in Psychology/Mathematics from Carnegie-Mellon University.
Dawna is PMI-certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP), member of the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) and the National Black MBA Association (NBMBAA). She specializes in project management of health education and life sciences development and research projects, business development, proposal/grant writing, strategic planning, and alliance formation. She uses collaborative strategies to reduce cost and time, while fostering communication, innovation, quality, and stakeholder satisfaction.
Her expertise includes managing global trials for pharmaceutical industry clients with clinical research operational budgets ranging up to $58 million. She provides meeting facilitation, project milestone, budget and metrics requirements elicitation, change management, risk management, written and oral presentations, and capacity building. Dr. Wright served as an adviser and program evaluator for project teams in academic institutions, in the Texas State Department of Health, in CDC-funded and non-profit program settings. She holds Board positions with Advanced Medical Science located in Stockton, CA, Renascent Health Institute located in New Orleans, LA, Bankston Foundation in Los Angeles, CA, with Caligeo Clinical OneVision located in Atlanta, GA, and serves on the International GCP Training Advisory Board of the Association of Good Clinical Practices in Nigeria (AGCPN).
