I am a passionate, some say quirky, cockeyed optimist and out-of-the-box thinker. I'm a Baltimore, Maryland native who feels like an ex-pat because the opportunity is very limited here (especially in my field), but I'm always reaching out to find resources and people who can assist me in my journey.

My dream is to be a rockstar freelancer when it comes to instructional technology and gamification. I have made it my career goal to make learning as fun and enjoyable as possible and I'm determined to see that idea mainstreamed into the educational world (K-12 and Higher Ed).

Education is serious business, so how do you tackle motivating students (and instructors) when the subject matter is generally dry and mundane? How do you get them to be passionate about learning? That's the mountain I'm determined to climb. There are a lot of great educational technologists out there and I'm having a ball learning as much as I can from all of them through blogs, websites, forums, etc.

I'm hoping that this site will be another forum where ideas can be shared and goals are realized.
