I’m a self-taught lover of photography, the only photography class I’ve had was in 8th grade some 40+ years ago. I got bit with the bug that year and didn’t get my first camera, a Canon 35mm rangefinder, until I was 19 or 20. I’ve had various SLR’s and point and shoot cameras over the years and switched to digital in the 90s. My latest camera is the Olympus OM-D EM-5 and I have a deep love for that camera. A few months ago I switched to using manual lenses with it and I like how it has slowed down my process. I’ll be adding a gear page at some point with a list of what I use.

Last year I got an iPad mini after seeing all the cool apps for creating were available for it and not the Android tablets. That is another love of mine; I love how it lets me create in an organic way without being tied to a laptop on my lap, or my arms in weird positions to type/use the track pad or my Wacom tablet.

Creating digital art is still a relatively new endeavor for me but I have such an active imagination that the two seem to flow together very well…it doesn’t hurt that I have over 75 apps to help me achieve my vision.

May 2016 Update:

WOW! Things sure have changed since I joined about.me. I find myself creating on my iPad mini very little and on my laptop, quite a bit. I've taken up creating and 3D characters to composite in my photos. Learning Daz 3D has been quite a challenge, luckily I'm pretty stubborn when I want to learn/do something new. LOL! I'm also going to learn how to use Blender and HitFilm!!
