The Reverend DeLishia Davis is a religious education professional with a wealth of experience in pastoral ministry and teaching. She currently serves as the Elementary Leader of Kids Ministry at Christ Church and volunteers for several community service organizations.

From an early age, Rev. DeLishia has written Christian books, poems and inspirations for the people of God. She is the author of Word of Life family Bible study, Live on Purpose, Seven Days for Spiritual Fulfillment, Divine Inspirations and operates the internet prayer ministry. Her most popular book, “Positioned for a Breakthrough” was released in March 2006 and ranks on the national bestseller list. There are two publications scheduled to be published in Spring 2017.

In 1996, Rev. Davis accepted her call to ministry and served as an overseas evangelist for the Republic of South Africa in 1998. There, she lived and traveled on an evangelistic circuit for the empowerment of the people. Since that time, she has returned to the United States and has served congregations as a Minister to Youth, Minister of Christian Education, Senior Pastor and Ministry Coordinator.

This outstanding woman of faith is a community activist, serving on many boards and community service organizations to include the African American Ministers Leadership Council of People for the American Way, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance, The National Conference of Churches and Theologians for Kingdom Building. She is the founder of Daughters of Destiny, Sister to Sister ministries and People Helping People network.

Pastor Dee has ministered internationally in diversified venues and ministries. She has a special heart for youth and women’s ministry. She is an advocate for social justice and a volunteer advocate for the domestic violence center.

In July 2011, DeLishia received the Sojourner’s Award from the International Missionary Society of the African Methodist Episcopal Church for outstanding service in international missions and in 2014 she received the Rosa Parks Distinguished Service Award. Rev. Davis served the Methodist Church as a pastor for sixteen years until 2013, when she and her family relocated to the Washington DC Metropolitan area. Since that time, she has continued in ministry support roles and dedicated time to writing more Christian self-help books.
