Dennis Hearns

Dennis Hearns, a Senior Vice President at financial services group Fred Alger Management, comes to his role with more than a decade of experience in sub-advisory relationships. Since 2005, he has overseen sales and client services for the firm's sub-advised funds as well as for its retirement planning services. With a particular specialty in variable annuities, Dennis Hearns continues to work with firm personnel as well as with insurance and plan providers.

Prior to joining Fred Alger Management, Dennis Hearns served as Senior Vice President of Sub-Advisory Sales for Columbia Management. There, he handled all aspects of business relationships for sub-advised products. He served in this role for more than three years, prior to which he served as Senior Vice President of Broker Dealer Distribution with Rydex Investments.

At Rydex Investments, Dennis Hearns managed all broker and dealer distribution relationships. For four years, he worked to form solid relationships for the company and maintain strong lines of communication. He continues to apply these skills in his role with Fred Alger Management, where he interfaces regularly with product providers.

Dennis Hearns holds a Bachelor of Science from Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio. There, he competed for three years in varsity track and field and earned the title of Ohio Athletic Conference's Most Valuable Performer. Nine years after graduation, he earned election to the Ohio Wesleyan University Athletic Hall of Fame. He continues to run on a recreational basis and also participates in basketball and lacrosse. A community-minded individual as well, he volunteers with the Norwell High School Boosters, where he supports the school's athletic teams, and he has worked with his local Habitat for Humanity group as well.
