Possessing a broad range of skills as a property manager and proprietor, Dennis Ogden actively engages in the San Diego surfing and skateboarding community. A video archivist holding more than three decades of experience filming and editing, Ogden began serving as historian and videographer at the Pacific Beach Surf Club over 20 years ago. Presently semi-retired, Dennis Ogden continues to film and archive surfing and skateboarding events.

Dennis Ogden began producing surf films during in the early 1990s, releasing “Celebrate the Season,” a two-hour documentary profiling the long board circuit. He also owned a series of San Diego-based dry cleaning outlets from 1982 to 1992.

Before he began producing films and archiving events, Dennis Ogden began his career in 1975 by establishing a residential property remodeling company with friends. He worked as the firm’s President and Developer. Completing an Associates of Arts in Construction Technology from Santa Monica College in 1975, he also holds a California real estate certificate, and a building contractors license.

Remaining active in the residential management field, Ogden maintains select rental units in the Pacific Beach, California, vicinity. He specializes in renting multi-bedroom homes to small groups of foreign exchange students attending area colleges.

In the late 1970s, Ogden launched Marina Del Rey Skatepark in Marina Del Rey, California. He developed and served as contractor for the venture. Until its closure in 1981, the popular skate park hosted a number of contests and events featuring notable area skaters of the time. Ogden directed public relations and daily functions for the business, including overseeing the pro shop, arcade, and snack bar.

Committed to charitable endeavors, Dennis Ogden serves as co-chair for the Mission Bay Marlin Club's yearly Marlin Tournament supporting the work of the American Heart Association. Ogden and his wife Mako are actively engaged in their church and regularly attend Bible studies.
