Daniel Rice holds the Doctor of Musical Arts Degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, the Master of Music degree in trombone performance from Florida State University, and the Bachelor of Music in trombone performance from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

Dr. Rice has served on the faculty of Radford University, UNC Greensboro, Cape Fear Community College, and currently teaches low brass, music theory, electronic music, and music technology at NC A&T State University.

Daniel is an avid cyclist and participates in endurance events across the country. His photography studio and photography have been featured in national print and internet publications for professional organizations, and educational institutions.

Dr. Rice resides in Greensboro, North Carolina with his wife Karen, son Graeme, daughter Ada, and their cat Addie.
