Detroit Walk To Fame

Keeper of the Word Foundation™ (KWF) is a non-profit organization founded by Gregory J. Reed in 1996 for the purpose of protecting the legacies of authors, artists and activists. KWF in collaboration with the Motown Walk to Fame 501 (c)(3) organization presents Detroit Walk to Fame (DWF).

Detroit Walk to Fame celebrates Detroit’s heritage and legacy with a network of placement markers and mobile technology, helping to inspire creativity for local residents and international visitors in downtown Detroit. Collaborate and consolidate legacies of Detroit icons and artists to enhance infrastructure, attract global markets, integrate festivals, and promote economic sustainability to establish Detroit as a global tourist destination.

Our mission is to create a lively Parisian-style street life with the Walk to Fame as a catalyst for development. The project enhances Detroit’s outlook making it a pilot how cities can regenerate their spirit and soul. It incorporates various entertainment and hospitality factors to unify and inspire the community with hope and the “American Dream” to repopulate the region.

The Detroit Walk to Fame is supported by the Detroit Entertainment Commission Advisory body to the Detroit City Council. Gregory J. Reed, chair of the Detroit Entertainment Commission. For more information on Gregory J. Reed, please visit www.about.me/gjrassoc
