I like making stuff.

As a kid, my tinkering with electronics morphed into writing software in the early days of the home computer. After grad school I was an engineer making satellites including one that eventually crashed into the sun... on purpose! I worked on early mobile GPS systems but left aerospace to make bits and bytes do cool things.

For 20+ years I was in the consumer software business… mostly making games. I was president of Sierra On-Line and ran development for a bunch of other companies including Accolade, Palladium Interactive, Mindscape (later The Software Toolworks) and Spectre Technologies. I've been a board member or advisor for Irrational Games, Autoremind, Capital Entertainment Group, and public broadcaster KRCB.

Since un-retiring for the third time, I've been spending my time in the health/medical sector as the CEO of Expresso Fitness, President/CEO/Chairman of AlterG, and currently as consultant to startup Counterpace and an advisor to Autoremind.

Just to stay nimble, I'm also writing iOS and Apple Watch software, SCUBA diving, traveling the world, and building/flying drones.
