Diana McCalpin has over 18+ years of professional accounting experience in both private and public accounting. She earned her Master’s in Accounting and Finance and her Bachelor of Science in Accounting at the University of Maryland University College. She is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the States of Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA) and the Virginia Society of CPAs (VSCPA). Diana is also a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) and a Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) and is a member of the Association of Government Accountants (AGA).

In the past, Diana served as Senior Manager at a mid-size public accounting firm and as Manager for a national public accounting firm in Bethesda, MD where she was responsible for all aspects of audit and accounting engagements. She has conducted financial statement audits in accordance with Generally Accepted Auditing Standards, Consolidated HUD Audit Guide, OMB Circular A-133, Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (Yellow Book), PCAOB, and ERISA.

In December 2009, Diana founded R.T. McCalpin & Associates, a Certified Public Accounting firm located in Laurel, MD where she is currently the managing partner. The firm was certified as an 8(a) women-owned minority business by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) in July 2012. The firm is also on the GSA Schedule, FABS Contract # GS-23F-024BA. Diana also works closely with client management on complex accounting and compliance matters.
