Born and raised in the Netherlands, I’ve been living in Toronto for the last three years. I love to operate at the intersection of managing software development and conducting quantitative research in a collaborative mission-driven environment.

I have led the development of numerous innovative Web-based software applications and I am an expert in constructing and analyzing large social network / longitudinal datasets. In addition, I have managed small teams of software engineers with different cultural backgrounds both on-site and offshore.

I have a solid understanding of the fast changing technical capabilities of browsers and I keep constant track on the development of new Web standards such as HTML5 and the ever-changing Internet landscape.
