Dimitris Makris

I live in Athens, Greece. I received my main degree in Electrical & Computer Eng. in 1995 and my PhD in 1999. I like working as an "all-arounder" developing new ideas and I enjoy system modelling and "dirty" hands-on work.Currently, I work as an engineer consultant offering renewable energy and energy saving solutions. Occasionally, I practice teaching as a way to relief every day pressure and keep in touch with the beautiful freshness of young minds.My past experience includes product development and management, regulatory affairs, telecom. network planning, research project management and software engineering.My interests include technology, sustainability and climate change. Especially, how we can use technology to improve quality of life and help the environment.In my spare time I like sailing, hiking and skiing.Favorite quote: Less is more!
