As a working DJ, remixer, sound engineer, and visual lighting specialist for nearly 15 years, he brings accessibility to music.

Unafraid of taking music risks, he goes where most DJ’s wouldn’t dare to traverse. Watching him spin it’s clear he takes his craft seriously – he works the mixer with abandon, favouring clean, smooth blends at times, rough transitions at others. Hailing from the place of cool waters – Nairobi, Kenya - DJ Lajit’s formative years of listening to classics from Alaap, Malkit Singh and Bally Sagoo influenced his unique style behind the DJ booth as well as in the studio. His style, which is carefully interspersed with mainstream, hip-hop and R&B music, sets the dance floor ablaze.

DJ Lajit has taken the Vancouver music scene out of the confines of one note music and transformed it to a completely new level.
