Dena thrives on complex challenges. Her foundation in finance and marketing with large corporations, such as consumer product business Kimberly-Clark and database marketer Acxiom, informs her ability to help entrepreneurial businesses and nonprofit organizations analyze and understand markets, build brands, and strengthen the bottom line.

Dena has served in a variety of sales, marketing and public relations positions for retailers and service firms, from start-up companies to mature organizations. For most of the previous decade, Dena has been an independent marketing consultant, working closely with small businesses to conceptualize and launch traditional and digital marketing campaigns that bring new ideas to the marketplace.

As President and Owner of Faith In Fashion, a marketing consultancy, Dena has provided clients with support in branding, positioning, and marketing implementation. In her capacity as Social Media Director at a local marketing company, she helped organizations integrate social media into business strategies and marketing campaigns.

In addition to client work, Dena is an emerging thought leader. She created the popular blog, Faith In Fashion, to highlight stylish, modest clothing. Her work has been profiled in The Catholic Review, Baltimore Magazine, Style and regional newspapers. She speaks frequently on a variety of marketing topics, and has presented on the state of social media to business audiences such as the Hunt Valley Business Forum.

Dena graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Business-Finance from Marquette University. She also holds a Master of Arts degree in Emerging Media from Loyola University, graduating summa cum laude. She holds various marketing-related certifications, including Hootsuite Certification and a Qualitative Research Certification from the National Institutes of Health. She authored a qualitative research paper entitled, “An Exploratory Study of Content Curation: A Look at Best Practices.”

In the community, Dena currently serves on the advisory board of Marquette University. She has been a founding board member of The Catholic Business Network of Baltimore, a networking group that combines faith and business. She helped raise over $30,000 for a scholarship endowment fund that provides tuition money for economically disadvantaged youth.
