Donna Fields Goldstein

Appointed as Judge to the Los Angeles County Superior Court by Governor Gray Davis in 2003, Donna Fields Goldstein handles the entire panoply of general civil litigation arising from the North Central District of Los Angeles. As judge, Donna Fields Goldstein oversees cases involving personal injury, employment, medical malpractice, contract disputes, and real estate disputes, among other things.

Donna Fields Goldstein gained extensive experience as Assistant United States Attorney with the United States Attorney's Office for the Central District of California between 1977 and 1980. Prior to that, she was a trial attorney with the United States Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division, in Washington, D.C., between 1972 and 1977. For many years, Judge Donna Fields Goldstein was a Partner at such renowned Los Angeles firms as Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP, Epstein Becker and Green, P.C., and Rudin, Richman & Appel.

Judge Donna Fields Goldstein began her judicial career in 2003 at the Misdemeanor Criminal court in the Metropolitan Courthouse in Los Angeles, California. In 2005, she accepted a judicial position at the Family Court in Pomona, California. Judge Donna Fields Goldstein served at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse’s Family Court in Los Angeles, prior to her current assignment at the General Civil court in the Burbank Courthouse.

Actively involved in professional organizations, Judge Donna Fields Goldstein formerly belonged to the California Leadership Counsel for the NOW Legal Defense and Education Fund and the Board of Directors of Friends of Child Advocates. She has also served as Chair of the Labor and Employment Section of the Century City Bar.

During her free time, Judge Donna Fields Goldstein enjoys knitting, reading, and working with needlepoint.
