Dora Mendoza

I was born and raised in a small town in Texas. In high school, I enrolled in health science classes. This is where my passion in healthcare started. Immediately, I knew that I would go to college to become a professional in the health industry. I attended University of Texas in San Antonio then applied for nursing school in the University of Texas in Arlington where I received a Bachelors of Science in Nursing. I have worked as a registered nurse for 12 years in the hospitals. Now, I have given an opportunity to teach Principles of Science in high school. I want to impart strategies that I have discovered to avoid feeling unprepared for or incapable of mastering all needed courses to complete high school and help students make the right professional career choice.
