H. Douglas Knust is a teacher, mentor, coach, father and grandfather. He has mentored middle school young men for over 20 years and taught religious education for over 35 years.
Knust started a middle-school boys service club in 2001. "Man Stuff" is a segment at their weekly meetings that deals with life lessons. In 2020, he wrote Man Stuff: Things a Young Man Needs to Know,which is a collection of some of these topics. He followed up with More Man Stuff: More Things a Young Man Needs to Know in 2023.
He was a franchised automobile dealer for over 30 years and currently has several small businesses. Knust graduated from Creighton University with a finance degree in 1982. He loves to hunt, golf, sail and bicycle and is a life-long college basketball fan.
Knust and his wife, Judy, have three grown children, two granddaughters and two grandsons.
He enjoys hunting, golfing, sailing and bicycling. He's a political junkie and has an interest in all things finance. He subscribes to the idea that most of life is a bit better with a splash of good bourbon!
He loves college basketball and is an avid fan of the Creighton Bluejays, his alma mater.
