Doug MacGinnitie

A consummate business professional with extensive legal experience, Doug MacGinnitie currently serves as the Commissioner for the Georgia Department of Revenue, a position he has held since 2011. Drawing on his nearly 20 years of executive-level positions, Doug MacGinnitie has implemented successful business strategies that have saved the department tens of millions in revenue.

Mr. MacGinnitie graduated from Emory University School of Law as a Woodruff Fellow. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Dartmouth College.

Throughout his career, Doug MacGinnitie has been involved in various philanthropic enterprises. In 2007, he served as COO for Grassroot Soccer, a nonprofit that is dedicated to educating African youths about HIV. Today, he sits on the board of and is the Treasurer for the nonprofit Truancy Intervention Project, an Atlanta-based group that seeks to keep young people in school until they graduate.
