Mike Tucker offers writing and editing services to corporate, association, and government clients. “The Color of Money,” his feature for HR Magazine (SHRM) that explores pay inequity, recently won awards from the Society of Professional Journalists and the American Society of Business Publication Editors. He is also a two-time winner of the regional Emmy Awards for writing and producing short teleplays. He is a former assistant professor of journalism at Howard University and has reported and edited for the Akron Beacon Journal, The Detroit News, and USA Today. His broadcast credits include writing and producing for WHUT-TV and WUSA-TV. Tucker has written from Europe, Africa, and Haiti. He is a former press secretary in the U.S. Congress, and a fellow at Jackson State University in Mississippi and the Poynter Institute for Media Studies in St. Petersburg, Fla.
