Dr. Jay Schwartz’s participation in charitable organizations includes an extended trip to Kenya, which was arranged by Indiana University, where he was employed at Moi University within the pediatric division in 1993. However, before starting a career in medicine, he attended the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology as well as a minor in chemistry. During his stint as an undergraduate, he appeared on the dean’s list every term and finished within the top 1 percent of his class. Dr. Jay Schwartz later enrolled in Chicago’s Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine where he obtained his Doctor of Medicine. He served as the president of the student body during his second year of medical school and graduated within the top 25 percent of his class.

An active member of Stonebridge United Methodist Church, Dr. Jay Schwartz volunteers as a basketball coach for a faith-based team within the Upwards Unlimited organization. He serves as a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is involved with the Texas Pediatric Society and Section on International Child Health (SOICH), an organization dedicated to the proper health and well-being of children of the world via healthcare, education, research, and awareness.

Currently, Dr. Jay Schwartz functions as the founder and sole owner of Collin County Pediatrics, located in Frisco, Texas. In the nearly 13-year stretch of medical roles that led up to the launch of his own practice, he gained diverse experience within the field, occupying positions within the U.S. Air Force, Hendricks Regional Health, and, most recently, Midland Pediatric Associates. Dr. Jay Schwartz also performed as the Physician Director for the Midland Independent School District from 2001 to 2006.
