Dr. Arash Rahi

Dr. Arash Rahi holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry, Math, and French from New York University, as well as a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) and a Master of Science in Clinical Research and Translational Medicine from New York University School of Medicine. Upon receiving his M.D., Dr. Rahi secured an internship and subsequent residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Pennsylvania. His efforts as a member of the ob-gyn department led to a number of recognitions, including several teaching awards and the Ambulatory Gynecology award. Dr. Rahi then returned to the NYU School of Medicine and continued to hone his abilities with a three-year fellowship in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery. While there, Dr. Rahi received the National Institutes of Health's K30 Clinical Research Curriculum Award, which afforded him the opportunity to complete his Master's degree. Today, Dr. Arash Rahi specializes in Urogynecology and Advanced Minimally Invasive and Robotic Gynecologic Surgery at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, New York. Deeply engaged in his field, he maintains membership with professional affiliations including the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the American Urogynecologic Society. Dr. Rahi is recently awarded the 2010 Patient Choice Award as well as the 2010 Compassionate Doctor Award. Prior to entering the field of medicine, Dr. Rahi worked as a Translator for Berlitz International, Inc., a leading language institution, as well as an Instructor with The Princeton Review. In the latter role, Dr. Rahi guided pre-med students in the close study of physics and organic chemistry. In his free time, Dr. Arash Rahi enjoys hiking, sailing, travelling, motorcycling, and camping. He also volunteers as an Interior Firefighter with the Great Neck Vigilant Fire Company.
