Dr. Adrian Blotner

Dr. Adrian Blotner has been in private practice since 1988. He specializes in the management of chronic pain, mood, anxiety, and sleep disorders. Treatments prescribed by Dr. Blotner emphasize non-addictive medications, physical therapy, stress management, and lifestyle adjustment. Adrian Blotner, MD, is nationally known for continuing medical education lectures on a variety of topics in pain medicine & psychiatry, including "Treatment of Chronic Pain, Mood, and Anxiety Disorders"; "Differential Diagnosis DDx of Substance Abuse in Patients with Chronic Pain"; "Emotional Consideration of Pain: Is It Real?"; "Fibromyalgia-Role of the Central Nervous System (CNS)"; and "Coping with Disasters."

Dr. Adrian Blotner serves as Medical Director of the Stress Management for Chronic Pain Program, an intensive outpatient program (IOP) focused on education and non-medication techniques for individuals to gain better control of their physical pain, mood, anxiety, and sleep disorder symptoms, as well as improve functioning in important areas of their lives. He also serves as Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, Tennessee.

Dr. Blotner testifies as expert medical witness in complex legal cases that involve the question of symptoms and impairments associated with chronic pain, mood, anxiety, and sleep disorders. Dr. Adrian Blotner completed his internal medicine internship and psychiatry fellowship at Ochsner Clinic & Hospital. He earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine, and after he completed an externship at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Physiologic Psychology from Tulane University, where he graduated with cum laude honors.
